DELTA PSI HOUSE. mg,^ which is considered one of the best proportioned structuresof Its kmd in Philadelphia, and the color schemes of this andthe new Phi Kappa Sigma house are a delight to all lovers ofbeautiful buildings. Like its neighbor, the main entrance is onthe east side, this plan in both buildings being adopted to givethe entire Locust Street frontage of the first floor to the mainclub rooms. On this floor is also a magnificent dining room, 212 which extends the full width of the building, and opens outupon a terrace overlooking a small garden. The other roomsin the building correspond very nearly in number and size anduse to those of the Phi Kappa Psi,

PHI UKLTA THETA HOUSE. PHI DELTA THETA.—The chapter house of the PhiDelta Theta, at the west forks of Walnut Street, WoodlandAvenue and Thirty-fourth Street, was constructed in 1900. Tothe Phi Delta Theta belongs the distinction of first adopting astyle of architecture which is in keeping with the various groupsof later University buildings. It was designed by Oswald Shelly,00 C. The style employed was a modified Collegiate Gothic.Like the University buildings, it is constructed of hard-burntbrick and sandstone, trimmed with Indiana limestone. It con-tains ten bedrooms, three bathrooms, a living room with anopen fireplace, a billiard room, and an initiation hall. The paneling in the hall was recently completed so that nowpractically the whole first floor is finished in weathered oak. In living room—^Randal Morgan Memorial Fireplace, gift ofClass of 1908.
